Howdy,

Been on 6 meters since 1960. Originally with a Heathkit Sixer and a HyGain
Mod 65B antenna. Worked over 25 states wid the lunchbox.

Upgraded the receiver with a nuvister converter and a BC342.

Then upgraded the xmtr with a Seneca. Used that combo for a long time.

After being off the air for a long time upgraded T to A in 1990.

Upgraded rig then to a TS-680 and 150-W Mirage, which I still have but do not
use.

Upgraded in 1993 to TS-690S which got zapped by lighning this past summer.

Now have TS-570S and IC-746. Recently replaced 42-year old Hygain antenna
with a 3-el Cushcraft. Now, that's progress!

I monitor 50.125 almost around the clock. The late K9IKQ and I built the
first repeater in Terre Haute for 6-m FM. There is still a 6-m rptr here but
gets not much use.

I am looking forward to reading this group.

Best 73, Jack, K9CUN
