Missed most of the early DX since I was still at work,
but did make it home to work HC8N on SSB at 1725Z
(approximately). Man he was loud, at least 20 over 9
here. THat is the loudest signal I have heard on 6 in
some time. Right after that he switched to CW, so
figured I would try QRP, since he was so strong.
Turned the FT100D down to 4 watts, and worked him
first call! That was my first true QRP contact on 6
meters-I have worked a few at 10 watts before with
various rigs.
I did hear KH6SX very briefly yesterday afternoon, but
too quickly to make contact. Lets hope the F2 holds,
this is the earlier in the fall I have ever seen it.
A QSO with ZL7C on 6 would definitely be nice
