well another day of watching the boys in EU work into AF and SA. while the 
boys in JA were working into SA. in south central ky nothing........ of 
course only have  5 ele's at 80 ft so not my old stacked 66b's at 110 . but 
should hear something. wait what is that K8LEE would J3 and 8R1  Wayne is 
coming in backscatter from Ohio. hummm just maybe.. wait i hear a faint 
beacon it is out of 1 land. turn north its gone going south the 8R1 is 
being worked by 1 land stations. turn south his freq nothing. well maybe i 
can hear the  1 land boys beam is due east wait there he is  s6  go back 
south dead go north dead go east s6 run out side maybe wind got the beams 
nope called for 15 mins he is up then s1 then s6  well got him after 20 or 
so calls. he worked fla ga miss ala va nc sc maine ny ohio ind ill then 
me..hummmm.  knife edge effect ? ducking ? nope its that new prop they call 
skewed path ????? spent months reading old qst and cq from  40,s and 
50,s  same thing comes to mind that i figured out years ago. i LIVE in the 
WRONG part of the country.  Central Kentucky! IN the middle of the Big 
V  signals tend to propagate down the east coast from maine ny md va w va 
nc sc ga fla on my east and  pa ohio ind lower ill Lousiville Ky mo tx on 
my west..
