[50mhz] Opening Today!

WOW!!!!!! Finally, the six meter drought is over. Had a good opening
today for one hour and made the first log entries since Feb. 2nd.
Made only four contacts but one new grid. Couldn't be happier, or could
I??? I have one gripe and I am going to share it with you. There was a
station up in North Central Canada calling CQ DX on 50.125 and he was
in a grid I sure needed. I didn't answer because I respect his right
to call DX only. But, after several CQ DX, I gave him a quick call and
asked for a quick contact if he didn't get any DX. He didn't answer
even though he was 5-9+20 here. Well, maybe he didn't hear my modest 
little station but I believe he did. I disagree with being a total
snob and I feel these guys should bend a little occassionally to let us
little guys have a contact with a rare grid., especially since he was
using 50.125 only. Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky. That's
probably it. Sorry to bother everyone on this nice reflector with my
grouchy ideas.
