Hello 6mtr gang,

I thought I'd take a moment to bring you guys up to dAte
on the Altan/Locust 6mtr repeater system now up and running
in central North and South Carolina. This system is giving
good coverage from Statsville NC to Columbia SC.

The Altan repeater is located about 7 miles south of
Monroe, NC. It is on 53.150/52.150 with no tone.

The Locust repeater is Locust NC about 25 miles east of
Charlotte NC. It is on 53.550/52.550 with a 100Hz tone.

For more info abot the altan repeater use this URL
to visit the KC4FWC web page where you'll find photos
of the equipment and tower.

If you live in the area we'd like to invite you to give it
a try. There's a good group on almost anytime during the day
and some good late night "rag chewing" too.
Also give it a try the next time there's a band opening,
we'd love hear you.

73, Ron KC4YOY
