[50mhz] Question

A quick 1/4 ground plane would be easy and would work well (considering). 4
wire radials thumb tacked to the rafters or what ever you have and one
vertical element hung from a nail. Might be a start.

It would work. If I had to do something like that I would stick some
sort of loop in that space. Omni and horizontal, not that a dipole is
not horizontal but omni it is not.
