On many Winter evenings here in DM68, I will work a station 5/9+20
on, say, the east side of Calgary, Alb., and be unable to copy a
west-side local that he is in QSO with. 10-15 minutes later, I
will be able to work the west side Calgary station 5/9+20 -- at
which time the east-side station becomes undetectable.
Sometimes it will flip-flop back and forth a coupl'o times that-a-way.
I call it Sewer Pipe Propagation: It's only working between _one_
antenna at one end to just _one_ antenna at t'other.
Six Meters -- ya gotta luv it!
