Hi To All,
I just joined the e-list per Jason's info on my Feld Hell Yahoo eGroup at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/feldhell . It's a good idea creating this
group Jason. It's a great band but underutilized so hopefully the e-list
will help change that.
I operate allot of the digital modes on 30 meters. PSK31, Feld Hell and
MFSK16 work great. It's real easy to work VK and ZL long path (eastward)
from the U.S. late afternoon and evenings and short path (westward) in the
morning.
Daytime propagation falls between 40 and 20 meters. Less D layer absorption
at day than 40 meters so coast to coast QSO's are possible but a little more
than 20 meters, so no long haul DX at day. At night time it's open
everywhere during the summer but closes pretty early during the winter when
the solar flux is low.
