[2m] antennas

My question is this: Would it be better to put 6M beam horizontal beam over a 7 ele vertical beam or does it matter? right now my 6m beam is on top and vert beam is underneath. 2 meter Tramsmitt is good but receive is so so. Is one hurting the other.? they are on a 50 ft rocket launcher  ab-577.  thanks John   new to vhf
