[2m] tropo opening on 2 meters

Hi Gang,

Well just got a text message from DX Shurlock, says there is a tropo opening on two, and I am in the shack WOO!  So i am listening and calling a 146.52. From my studying I remember in openings like this there is activity found in the weak signal area of the band. I dial down there call hear  listen there you get the idea nothing. Is there some method or methods that you guys have used or tried that worked. If i see the reply in time I will give it a try if not I will print it out and put it in my binder. I keep one of the  things I learn here or something i want to try for a contest or just a good tip I want to remember, i do the same for my paper work for my ticket and CSCEs and the like.
