[2m] FT-736R Power supply

I have developed a problem with my FT-736 that I suspect is a power
supply problem.

First
Sometimes when I go to turn the rig on nothing happens but if I leave
the switch depressed and unplug the internal power supply and plug it
back it it comes on.

Second
Again sometimes, if I turn the transmit power up it will transmit just
fine but when I unkey the mic the radio goes off for about 1-2 seconds
and then comes back on.

Has anyone else experienced or know of similar occurances?
