Hi all in the group, just wondering if anyone out there has an IC-271 
with the ps-35 built in power supply that might be experiencing the 
problem I seem to be having. Here goes:

Just picked up the rig and all seems to work fine output is 100 watts 
receive is a bit low(preamp will cure this) and on receive and 
transmit the rig wants to FM a bit and by the reports sounds like...
(well you know the drill) Anyway, another friend of mine suggested 
that the power supply might be causing the problem with a bad 
filtering section allowing ripple into the rig. My question is could 
this be the only reason it would do this in this rig on both recv. and 
xmt.? Someone else mentioned something about small trimmer caps as 
well in mixer stage being bad?
Let me know what you think! Trying to get it ready for June without a 
lot of expense.
