Hello all -
Participated in the contest last week-end in my first ever work with SSB.
I'm definately hooked. I ran only 2m ssb. Although I had to work VERY hard
for my 15 QSO's, I got a sense of satisfaction that I hadn't really felt
before in radio! When I worked FN20 from my little spot here in FN34, I was
amazed. I only ran 24W into a 3 element yagi at 30 feet. Not even nice
enough to be called a modest set-up. Anywho...now I want to do more. I've
pretty much been camped around 144.200 (I'm disabled so at home pretty much
all the time). Would love to set some skeds with folks willing to give me a
shot (you may need a little patience...just learning how the rotator works).
I look forward to working at least some of you in future contests (I'm
looking now to pick up a 6m SSB rig). 73 Buzz KB1EPQ
