[2m] 2m Jpole question

Dont know if this made it to the list the first time or not so excuse me if 
you are getting this again.

I have a rollup 2m jpole antenna made out of flat 450ohm twinlead line. 
Should I remove or just leave the condutor that is above the notch(cut) ? I 
will try to explain with a diagram -
