Jim,
The Packrats operate a 220 repeater in the Phila area, as do several others. We have about 70 members of the club with 220 SSB or FM capability, although unfortunately they are not all as active as we would like.
We operate an SSB and a repeater net every Monday night (both at 8:30pm), to foster activity. And yes, we have lots of 220 activity in the contests.

Just wondering where the hotbeds of 222-MHz activity are in the US.
For being the second-most-populated area in the country there's very
little activity here, apparently, except for contests.
Opinions?
