Hello All!

I'm a new subscriber here as well as a new fan of 220 MHz. I am currently using an Alinco 235T and in the process of restoring a 1.25 meter Yagi that I bought from a ham buddy.

I was drawn to the band via another ham in Maryland. He found very little traffic on 220 back there and sold me the FM rig. Since then, I have been contacting several 220 groups, as well as hams that I've QSO, regarding any nets that they are aware of in the Southern Calif, area.

I am going to stay with FM for the time being. According to the 220 Spectrum Management Association, there are about 93 open repeaters in the SoCal area.

So, I am going to enjoy FM for the time being; I find the band much to my liking and have enjoyed some really great QSO's in my short time there.

I will continue talking up the band, in the hopes of getting as many folks to listen to me as I can, both on and off the air.

Thank for getting the ball rolling, Jim!

Best of 73 to you all,

Alan...KI6HPO
