Hey All,

Today, Norm - KC6ZWT, activated CM99, DM09, and DN00 on 222 Mhz. In DN00
using a temporary yagi setup from the summit of Ragged Top Road (near
Toulone exit on Hwy 80), he managed to work several folks in the Bay area,
the Sacramento Area, and as far south as DM06/07. It was an all time new one
for me. With all the activity he stirred up I managed to work a fellow in
DM06 for another new 222 Mhz grid. THANK YOU NORM !!!

He has asked me to inform you all of his plans for Sunday AM. Around 830 AM
He plans to head north out of Reno on Hwy 395 into CM99 and make his way to
the town of Doyle CA where he crosses over into CN90, A rare one on any
band. From there he will make his way to a high point on a ridge to the
north of Susanville CA.

He almost completed with K7MAC in DN13 but problems with his amplifier not
wanting to key prevented it. He has diagnosed and solved that problem so it
wont be an issue tmrw. The one casualty of the day was his portable 222 yagi
which is only partially disassembled and in need of repair. He hopes to
rectify the situation in the morning so it will be useable from CN90. If not
he will be QRV with only his omni loop.

Look for him on 222.100 and 144.200, Mobile and when setup portable. I will
announce him on the DX packet cluster, the 222 prop logger, and any other
VHF oriented website I can find.

Best of luck in the morning!
