That generally does not work very well.
The FCC is short staffed and complaints through that channel
often take a year or more if they get handled at all. Their
monitoring sites are old and are sensitivity limited from
local noise sources. They often, using their monitoring
network, can't copy spurious signals. Signals that are
10-20dB out of background noise here at my QTH often cannot
be copied at all by the FCC's monitoring network.
It is much better to work directly with a field office if it
comes to getting the FCC involved. This is a price we pay
for deregulation and smaller Government.
