I hope it is a current balun and not a voltage balun. With a
voltage balun you would have considerable common mode
currents flowing along the feeder.

Since the impedance is hundreds of ohms, I don't know why
you would want to use coax. Coax up to an impedance matching
balun at the feedpoint would be a good idea, but not a
mismatched 50 ohm line.
The commercial ones are apx 22' but would

That's some voodoo length said to make some magic. It
certainly would not apply to a 160 or 80 antenna.
