Tom:
Given the vast difference between your station and mine, not to mention
transcontinental separation, that we have the same impression of band condx
is most interesting.
During the max around Y2K, I was having a ball on topband. When we sailed
down toward the bottom in the past few years, I eagerly looked forward to
amazing topband conditions. But those have not materialized here. I will say
that the most recent seasons were better here than this one.
Mileage varies for others, of course. Tree up in Boring has been having a
good time--he achieved a 2-hour WAC the other night. I happened to be QRV,
but could not work most of what he reported, and could not hear most,
either. And W7LR has apparently had a good season, as well.
They're playing songs of love, but not for me.
Garry

I was busy playing with cars the last minimum, but so far as
I'm concerned this minimum isn't much better than the
maximum was for 160 meters. I actually think it is worse,
but I don't have any hard statistics. Someone closer to the
pole might have a different opinion, but I'm not impressed.
