Mike,

Power lines almost always make some noise, and the problems
increase with either construction errors of higher voltage.
The only real way to know is to see what happens when you
install an antenna.

Horizontal antennas like a dipole that is well balanced have
the advantage of suppressing local signals or groundwave.
Any noise from more than a few hundred feet away is
suppressed much more with a horizontal antenna like a dipole
than a vertical.

In close, closer than a few hundred feet, anything can
happen. All bets are off.

The best advice is to just install an antenna and see what
happens. If you are happy that is all that is important.
