Mike,
My humble guess is Japanese fishing net beacons.

Subject: [10m] Data Signals Near the Top of the Band
Message-ID: <316947C4C9A742C2B6171AFB7192E0B2 at K5XU>

A few times over the last 2 weeks or so, I have been hearing what
sounds like RTTY signals beginning at about 29.459.
Several such signals are spaced randomly up to just below 30 MHZ.

This occurs when I come in from work, around 21:30 UTC, and when the
band is open toward the Pacific, especially toward Japan.

None of these signals are as strong as the SSB and CW activity that is
lower in the band.

While I don't do RTTY, and don't have anything that might decode the
signals, I'm curious to know what they are, and where they are coming
from.

Any ideas?
