Bob, Might be the Fuel Pump. 
Chevy or Suzuki might have an RFI fix for this vehicle in their books for the 
asking. They stopped it from coming over the AM/FM/CD/Cassette stereo that 
came with the truck
You might also ask at the High End Car Audio stores about the noise you are 
having, they too have to overcome the problem of noise on the 2000 watt 
megablaster stereo amplifiers they install in their customers little fast and furious 
street racers.
