[1000mp] VFO problem

Could be the same issue as I had with a voltage 
regulator on the CNTL board. The symptoms described below are the same.

The regulator is easy access if you remove the 
bottom cover, so checking the output voltage is 
no problem. A voltage below +5.0 VDC will create a downward drift problem.
