This was discovered after a desperate try with an other PA and there was no symptoms at all in that configuration. After this I checked the PA relay and there was visible damage. Thanks for the support and the ideas most probably I had the easiest fault to fix. 73! You can move it slightly clockwise or counterclockwise to tune frequency down and up. If this ring hangs or there is a problem with the electronic behind, it might occur that the TRX endlessly tunes down or up. I never use the jogring for tuning and I think not many do. The symptoms described below are the same. The regulator is easy access if you remove the bottom cover, so checking the output voltage is no problem. A voltage below +5.0 VDC will create a downward drift problem. Is it possible to do this just by removing the top cover from the radio? Or is it also necessary to dismount the front panel sub-assembly, but not remove the front panel itself from the sub-assembly? Or is it necessary to totally remove the front panel, which will require removing all the knobs? Thanks! > The main power switch on my radio is acting flaky.
