Dear Bill,

Please accept my apology, I certainly did not mean to flame you, in the
future when I see a post that causes me to raise an eyebrow I will not be
so quick to respond without considering how the other person will feel if I
am wrong in my assumption.

Obviously you are a knowledgeable Ham operator who was simply passing on
some info that he felt would be useful to the group. Also thanks for
attaching the excellent article where you discuss speaker vs headphone
options, I am constantly looking for an edge when it comes to always
improving audio on my MK V Field so appreciate your valuable impute her.

By the way, you mentioned the 1.8khz filter and am wondering about a couple
of things, first, are these yaesu or the Inrad? Next, are you using the
1.8khz in both 2nd and 3rd IFs, or are you cascading them with either a
2khz yaesu or an Inrad 2.1khz or perhaps one of the factory filters, and
finally if a person can only afford a couple of filters, am I better to go
with the 1.8khz vs the either 2khz or 2.1khz(Inrad)?

So thanks for your help here, and once again please forgive my
Inappropriate post to you, I should have known better.

very best regards,

Rick Ve1rnm
