[1000mp] Emergency Radio and Earbuds 02/17/18

We all enjoy our MP radios, but sometimes discrete and portable 
listening radio is needed as well. A small standard battery am / fm 
radio is useful when the PL660 isnt convenient for the occasion. Turned 
out a very good radio with good rf sensitivity of a size that doesnt 
attract attention by those around. What I ended up choosing in addition 
to my six sixty is a Memorex model.

find that the sensitivity and selectivity of this super small am/fm 
radio is very good and compares will to the am / fm operation of the 
PL600 too. This radio uses standard AAA batteries as well. Both the 
radio, spare batteries, and earbuds will fit in a very very small zip 
snack bag to keep out the dust when in a pocket, and keep it dry when 
there is moisture around.

Even though ear buds come with the radio, they are not very comfortable 
for me to wear, especially if I am laying down. The stereo earbuds below 
are small enough in your ear you can actually fall asleep with them and 
they wont bother you.

This memorex radio is very very inexpensive 73 from Bill / WD8ARZ in N.W
