Rick - digital is no problem. Use the packet jack (5-pin), not the (4-pin)
"RTTY" jack which is for FSK. You may have to add a pull down resistor on
the PTT line to ground for the PTT to close. IRRC 50 ohms works well, any
value just high enough to not close the PTT until your interface switching
transistor "closes." I use a homebrew interface so don't know if you need
it for the PK232.
Hope that all makes sense. GL - the Mark V is a great rig on digital modes.

Good afternoon to the List,
I am hoping that someone can help with some questions and concerns on using
the PK 232MBX with the ft1000 mp MK V Field.
I am aware of the hook-up information on the older ft 1000mp but there are
some changes that were made on the MK V on the digital side. So to keep it
simple, is there anyone out there on the list who can provide confirmation
on the safe hook up to the mk v and which connectors on the back of the mk v
for RTTY and which for amtor/pactor. Thanks to all for consideration of my
question.
