[1000mp] main tuning knob seized up, cannot remove ring to access set screw and lubrication points

It has been a while, but I remember using light oil on the shaft with the
radio positioned so the oil would flow by gravity into the shaft/radio
interface. You might search the FT-1000 also, I think the same fix applied
to that.

This was pretty painless and worked.
