[1000mp] FT-1000MP failure...

I moved to a new QTH a year ago. When I moved my MP was working perfectly but after sitting on the shelf for a year I plugged it in and turned it on. It appears to power up but the display lights very faintly and does nothing else. I hear a relay click and a faint pop through the speaker. The same happens when I switch it off. I've tried it with both the internal AC supply and an external supply.

I can't find any trouble shooting help anywhere, only the "Technical Supplement", which only give alignment instructions. There doesn't appear to be a real service manual available except for the Mark V.

Any suggestions?
