Hi All. 
Have been on the list for years using a different email address. 
I have a 1000mp. I have tried to get to the 9. menu to change the 
setting to General coverage for the Transmitter so I can use it on 
AF Mars. 
Can some one send me the instructions in English to get into the 
menu and then get to the 9. to change the TX coverage. 

I looked in the archives but got lost.

Ralph ... give this a try please ...

How is the FT-1000 MP modified to transmit in general coverage? 

Turn the radio on with the FAST and the LOCK key pressed at the same time. 

Then press the FAST and the ENT key to access the menu. 

Then go to menu 9-9 and set it to GEN then press ENT to get out. 

(To get it back to normal repeat the steps and select 15 instead of GEN.) 

Turn ON the radio with fast and lock keys depressed this should enable the further 
menu items, note it is fast and lock use fast and enter after this to enable normal 
menu mode You should see further menu items 9-1 to 9-9 now

"To enter the menu mode, press and hold  FAST  then press  ENT
 Rotate the VRF/MEM CH to locate the menu you want.

Ralph,
I have both an FT-000MP and a FT1000MP Mark V Field.  The menu trick works
on the original MP.  Menu 9 will allow you to change the coverage to GEN.
The Mark V Field will not do it.  I understand you need to physically
change some diodes inside the radio.  The mod is available on line.

Hi everyone!

I have three of FT1000, FT1000 Deluxe, FT1000MP Mark V
and FT1000MP Mark V Field. In last two one diode must
be removed and the RX and TX everywhere(on any QRG).
Try to find MODs for this procedure. Remember me I
found it on MODS.DK site, try.
