Yaesu is an option. However understand that in most cases most parts
are not available for that radio any longer. However, the following
service center is good at repair and often can find used parts. He not only
does all my repair (I have two Yaesu's but just sold another and have worked
with this fellow for many years. He is first class!)

I would call Gary Grivna K0GX and talk to him about your problem and see if
 he can help you.

My faithful FT1000MP went dead below 7.500 MHz. Normal above that. I had
planned to send it off to Byron, the guru, but he is on vacation until
January.

Any ideas what might cause this? Right at 7.4999 a relay clicks and
reception goes out, no transmissions on lower bands. Seems like a PLL
problem I had some years ago. Any ideas what might cause this. Maybe a
tweaking needed or that relay?

Is Yaesu service an option?
