[1000mp] 1000mp low audio headphones issue

Subject:  1000mp low audio headphones issue

I have been banging my head against the wall with my 1000mp - I have finally
got an antenna setup and am in love with the fact that I have great signals
coming in through the speaker. The problem is everyone else in my house
doesn't feel the same way about SSB and CW  So I pulled out some headphones
and plug them in... nothing. I tired several sets and then finally have a
set of noise canceling battery powered headphones and with the audio turned
way up I'm able to hear a signal. I tried all the menus (option 4) and all
the setting on the top of the rig (Top Access Panel Controls) and nothing.
I'm perplexed... anyone have other troubleshooting you could provide me?
