Dear Tonno,
Before investigating the Mark V I would look at the power supply. Can you
hook up a volt meter to the power supply and monitor the voltage coming out
of the power supply when the rig is going up and down? The problem may be a
faulty component in the power supply rather than the radio.

Subject: [1000mp] another Mark V transmit problem
As the TX of Mark V was just mentioned there is another issue developed with
this radio in the CQWW SSB this weekend:
After getting into a QSO for a few minutes with Mark V TX starts dropping
off and coming back with some 2-3 second intervals. You might for example
put on an FM carrier and it just keeps cutting of TX and restoring it after
every few seconds. It means output power dropping to zero and coming back.
The rig remains in TX and nothing else changes.
Any ideas where to look for a cure?
