[1000mp] Replacement of the memory battery

Douglas,

I think the radio will have to be on, not just plugged into the 120 vac in 
order
to retain the memory while the battery is being changed.
Personally, I would write down all the menu settings and reprogram them 
after
the battery is changed rather than risk a static discharge while replacing 
the
battery and blowing out the memory chip. It may not be an issue but I 
wouldn't
want to risk the chance.
