[1000mp] How to reset Mark V to factory defaults?

HI Larry,
I only have the original 100W FT-1000MP version so resetting yous
would probably be different than mine. When you get the re-set info from
someone else and that doesn't fix the problem it may be that the diodes
in the swr sensing circuitry may be blown thus shutting down the output
power as it is sensing an infinite swr situation. However if it is only
isolated
to 20 meters then it could be a problem with the transmit bandpass filter
section involving 30 meters. You will have to check to see if the correct
pand pass filters are being switched in when you go from, say 80 meters
to 20 meters. The bandpass filters are relay switched so you should be able
to hear the relays clicking when going from one band to another. I think
20 & 17 meters use the same bandpass filters so there will be no relay
action
going form one to the other of these bands.
Just a couple of ideas before having to box it up and ship it to get
repaired.
Good luck & 73,
Deric VY2DA
