Thanks to W2CDO/Peter and AA6QQ/Roy for the comments. I have done the
suggestions you made Roy and no luck. I have been into everything I can get
to and it looks like the rig needs to go to Byron Campbell. He had it last
year and does a great job. A friend just loaned me his old TS-180S and at
least I can get on with some CW operating. If my old TNC works I may try to
set it up for RTTY. Thanks for all the comments.

Can you rx/tx from jack B? Try attaching a long wire to the RX only antenna
jack on the back and see if you can hear anything, at least that way you
will know if it's anything serious. A friend of mine in Utah had to install
some in line gas tube surge suppressors/arresters after a lighting storm
caused damage to his Mark V.
