[1000mp] Display out - Thermistor info?

Well it finally died, my display.  For the past couple weeks it was sluggish starting up.
I haven't opened it up yet but from what I was able to find online there is a 
power supply, supplying high voltage to the display, which fails.  It has a 
thermistor in series (with something).  I wonder if anyone has any info 
on the specs for such a device?  Anything you have tried which worked?
