[1000mp] Problem solving suggestions <was MP sub receiver S meter level>

1. I like to get suggestions on how to solve a problem when I post something
to this list.

2. I am happy to learn how others solved the same problem [or a similar
one].

3. If the solution for some folks was to send off the radio for repair that
is of interest. If others 'did it themselves' that is of interest too.

4. If the ONLY solution is to send off the radio that is of even more
interest.

5. If a 'send off the radio' solution seems to be the correct choice for
solving my problem then I would like to have an idea of which destinations
seemed to have happy outcomes.

6. Within reason, a lot of repetitive suggestions do not bother me -- I have
a very functional, skilled DELETE key on my computer.


It would not surprise me that a person who had very positive experiences
with a particular method of solving their set of MP problems would be
inclined to want to share that with other amateurs who may need the same
sort of solution. I suppose that might mean they had a long list of
contributions with the same suggestion for problem resolution.

All in all, I would rather have too much information than too little. I
trust in my ability to filter the excess.
