Well, I certainly disagree with your attitude.
Byron is the go-to guy for FT-1000 repair in this country.
I don't think anyone has a vested interest in Byron, except Byron.
We have all paid praise to Byron for the work he has done on our
radios. I have the feeling you have never dealt with him. Can you get
component level repair and service bulletin updating in your country
for your Yeasu? That's what Byron does.

By the way, found the answer to my menu question and now have
equal S meters. Found it in the list archives after a very quick search.
Menu 9-1 IF gain amplifier was set too high.
