This is a very simple solution I did it on many MPs. The problem is that the two 
long HV lines from the inverter of the display backlit brings too much 
capacitance in. You can test it by simply twisting the white HV lines or moving 
them closer to each other or further from each other. The display brightness 
will change as U move or twist the wires. So the mod is to shorten the HV lines.

IT solves the problem 99%.

The remaining 1% requires a new inverter board from Yaesu.
