[1000mp] RS 232 Problem

You may have a blown rs232 chip. It has been known to happen from time to 
time due to RFI getting in on the data cable. Last time I dug into this for 
someone, I suggested that when installing a replacement, use a IC socket to 
make the next change out easier ... hi hi  Have not had that happen here, 
yet, but many have reported it.
