Hi Jürgen,

in addition to Chen's (W7AY) clear and concise list:
- The "SignaLink USB" also already provides isolation between radio and
computer on the RX- and TX-audio which avoides hum. It has included two
transformers.

If I had to make a decision between an interface using the USB-port and one
using the RS232-port (serial), I would take the one with USB. Most newer PCs
- especially notebooks - don't have a serial port, so be glad you've got one
and save it for applications, that need a serial port (e.g. CAT-interface).
If you use the USB-port and you need another one for another application,
you can simply double or triple it by using an USB-hub.
