Hi Ed,
this quote is right, but new software nowadays gives the chance of 
sound recording the contest so, in case of doubt callsign, to resolve 
playing back it. Clicking on the callsign you can hear the recordered 
sound, so hearring your own sidetone helps to understand what did 
happen. It's only my need.
