[1000mp] Question About FT-1000MP Mk V Cooling Fan

Thanks to all that replied. Here's an update.

Several said to check if the internal speaker wires were interfering with
the fan. It's hard to say because when you pull up the top cover it then
pulls the red/black wires up away from the fan area so unless I had x-ray
vision I could not see the red/black wires with the top in place.

The good news is when I did pull the top cover off I made sure that they
would not interfere again....put the cover back on and the fan is now
working.
I did send my Mark V to Yaesu 6 months ago for lighting damage repair so I'm
sure the top cover was removed.

I did send an email to Yaesu tech support in which they said to apply 12
volts directly to the fan to check it out and if the fan was bad that it was
NOT available through Yaesu any longer.

Again thanks to those replied as it nice to get some common sense input on
issues with the Mark V.

Ever had the cover with the top firing speaker off? Sometimes when
you put it back on the wires to the speaker push down and hit the fan
and keep it from turning.
