I had to check my Service Manual for the FT1000MP before I wrote this reply.
 
 
If you go to Tom's [W8JI] web site you will find a section that talk about
mods for the FT1000 Mark V. The noise blanker mod is discussed on pages 2-4
and 6-7. The schematic for the FT1000MP and the Mark V are identical for
this part of the IF Board. The mod is very simple and Tom shows where to do
it and a picture of the completed mod. 
 
I am guessing that the mod will be the same for the Field.

Hello Tod, just looking through va3cr site and i see you dont the keyclick
mod to your 1000mp
some time ago, heres my question is there a NB mod for the 1000mp? I know
there is for the 1000,1000d
1000mp mk5 but couldnt find one for the straight mp
