[1000mp] FT-1000MP VS FT-1000 FIELD

Well, ok Garry, I see your point, try to see mine now: in fact the exact 
title of the message was, and still is (just have a look above): 
"FT-1000MP VS FT-1000 FIELD".

What I'm just saying is that we're still not 100% sure about what Billy 
was asking for, as, at the risk of repeating myself, the "FT-1000 FIELD" 
does *not* exist. The only existing "Field" in the FT-1000 series is the 
one named "FT-1000MP Mark V Field" (which, as you'll probably notice, is 
*also* an "MP"). By the way, this is the model I own.

So, if by writing "FT-1000 FIELD" Billy was inaccurate and in fact meant 
"FT-1000MP *Mark V* Field", why wouldn't his "FT-1000MP" be in fact the 
"FT-1000MP *Mark V*" as well ? My reasoning may be flawed, but I just 
found it more logical to think that one would rather ask about the 
differences in 2 *very similar* rigs (precisely because those 
differences are not obvious), than ask about the differences in cousin 
rigs (which are not of the same generation). But again, I may be wrong.

Ok guys, unless Billy drops in to make things a little bit clearer about 
his real question, this will be the last message on that subject for me. 
I'd never have thought I'd get into such trouble, just trying to help. ;-)
