if you can't find that it has anything to do with the antennas, as a next
point I would check the power supply.
Idea #1: Some PSU's are somewhat critical related to RF influence.
Idea #2: Imagine what would happen, if the PSU operates near the limit of
its max current and activates the current limiter (by reducing output
voltage) each time the transceiver "sucks power". I'm sure this could lead
to a distorted signal. Maybe your power supply is not working at its nominal
limit, but sometimes electronic components get older and fail...
Try another PSU or even better, a car battery which is in good condition and
well charged. Another simple test could be to survey the output voltage of
your PSU with a voltage meter or better a scope to detect RF on the output
voltage.
