[1000mp] JOG dial drifting

Her is somethingS to check for that was previously learned.

Mechanically the jog ring is re-centered by a small spring that wraps around the main tuning shaft; its ends are flared out and attached to the jog ring detents at the ends of the spring. The left side tab of the spring must be unattached.
You can reach this spring by removing the main tuning knob. To do this the rubber sleeve on the outside circumference of the main knob is first removed. This will expose the small allen-head set screws in the knob. Loosen the screws and the knob comes off. The spring for the jog ring is now exposed and can be reattached.

then here is another reference of that happening

I was using the MFJ-434 with my FT-840 and when I
received the MP I hooked it right up for Sweepstakes without changing the
jumpers. After rearranging the jumpers the rig works like it should.

good luck 73 Dwight NS9I
