[1000mp] Carrier on 50.110 +/-

Hi Guys
Has anyone noticed that during warm up over an hour or so a carrier drifts 
from 50.105 MHz thru to 50.117 MHz approx.
if you unplug the mike lead it drops in level from S5 to S1.

As I intend to sue this radio to drive an FTv1000 6M transverter I am 
curious to know where the carrier comes from in the radio, why i drifts so 
far and how to best suppress it.
